Clawgear
Clawgear Utility Knife
The handle heel is a glass-breaker. This is not an added accessory: the hard point is integrated into the end of the handle, available without flipping the knife or opening anything.
AUS-8 Steel
This is a Japanese stainless steel chosen for balance, not extreme performance. It holds a decent edge, resists corrosion well, and most importantly, it is easy to resharpen - even in the field, with a pocket sharpener. A harder steel would last longer but would require workshop equipment to restore its edge.
The Handle
Textured polymer. The texture works when hands are wet or gloved, which is exactly when a smooth handle becomes dangerous.
Dimensions Matter
Blade of 125 mm on a total length of 250 mm: the blade is exactly half the knife, the other half is for gripping. This is the proportion of a utility knife for work, not a knife for discreet carrying.
Actual Weight
Bare knife: 140 g. Sheath: 125 g. On the belt, count 265 g - the sheath weighs almost as much as the blade, which product sheets usually forget to mention.
The Sheath
Nylon, with a belt attachment. Black color.
