Clawgear
Clawgear USA Reversed Flag Patch
This flag is inverted, and it's intentional. The star field is on the right instead of the usual left – a mistake for those who don't know the rule, a standard for those who do.
Why it's inverted
A flag worn on the arm is read as if it were blowing in the wind as the person moves forward. The star field must therefore point to the front, and the rest of the flag trail backward. On a right arm, this requires inverting the design.
A flag mounted right-side up on the right arm would give the impression of retreating – this is precisely what the convention avoids.
Which one to order
This inverted version for the right arm.
A right-side up version for the left arm, or for any front placement – chest, admin panel, bag – where the wind logic does not apply.
Check the intended placement before ordering: the two versions are not interchangeable.
The most intricate design in the series
Fifty stars on a reduced field, plus thirteen alternating stripes. The stars merge into blobs as soon as resolution is lacking – this is the typical case where embroidery reaches its limit and where high-resolution weaving makes the visible difference.
Three versions
Multicolor, Desert and RAL7013.
Velcro does not damage underlayers
The hook side of this series only adheres to female velcro surfaces and does not damage knitted meshes or sewing threads.
