Clawgear Storm Pocket Lighter Mk.III
Thirteen hundred degrees, in a jet flame. An ordinary lighter flame peaks well below that and goes out at the slightest breeze. This one is directional and wind-resistant.
What a jet flame enables
It's concentrated, therefore precise. At this temperature, you don't just light things: you weld a piece of synthetic rope to prevent it from fraying, you heat a heat-shrink tube, you make field repairs. A free-flame lighter can't do any of these three tasks.
Wind-resistant
This property gives this type of lighter its name. The jet comes out under pressure and doesn't extinguish in a gust – the difference between lighting a stove on the first try or the tenth.
The soft-touch surface
The coating ensures grip with gloves or wet hands. On an object of this size, a smooth body would slip.
Piezo ignition
One press, one spark. No wheel to scratch, no flint to wear out.
Rechargeable
It's gas refillable: it's an item you keep, not throw away. Over time, that's also what makes it cheaper than a succession of disposable lighters.
Colors
Four colors: Black, Coyote, Solid Rock, and Stonegrey Olive.
