Lower Austria completely surrounds Vienna. It is the only federal state in this situation: the capital, which is itself a federal state, forms an enclave in its center.

Why this matters for patch selection

Many people live in one and work in the other. The two patches exist separately in the series - Niederösterreich and Wien - and do not overlap: displaying one does not imply the other.

This is precisely the kind of precision a regional patch offers that a national flag cannot.

The series of nine federal states

At €6.90: Kärnten, Niederösterreich (this one), Steiermark, Tirol and Vorarlberg.
At €7.90: Burgenland, Oberösterreich, Salzburg and Wien.

Three versions

Multicolor for heraldic colors, Desert and RAL7013 for two discreet treatments that preserve the design without creating a point of contrast on the outfit.

The shield format is the most demanding

The cut-out outline makes the slightest border irregularity visible, and the heraldic motif requires the resolution of weaving - embroidery would close fine elements.

The hook of this series only adheres to female velcro surfaces: neither knitted meshes nor sewing threads are damaged.
