Clawgear Latvia Flag Patch
The white stripe is narrower than the other two. The Latvian flag is not a tricolor with equal stripes: the central stripe is half the width of the carmine stripes that frame it.
Why this proportion is a test
On a flag with equal stripes, the eye doesn't look for anything: three thirds are three thirds. Here, the ratio must be exact, otherwise the flag simply looks badly printed. A white stripe that is a few threads too wide or too thin, and the proportion is noticeable.
High-resolution weaving allows transitions to be placed thread by thread – a precision that embroidery, which works with thick threads, cannot guarantee on a narrow stripe.
White, the color that betrays
A light solid color immediately reveals a manufacturing defect. In embroidery, white thread takes on relief, gets dirty in the hollows, and yellows. Woven flat, it remains uniform and cleans without crevices.
One version only
Multicolor, in true colors. This flag is not available in low-visibility treatment.
Velcro preserves textiles
The hook on this series only adheres to female Velcro surfaces and does not damage knitted meshes or sewing threads.
