Clawgear Hydration Carrier Core 2L

The walls are lined with foam. This is what separates this pouch carrier from a sleeve: the foam absorbs shocks before they reach the water reservoir.

Why it matters

A full hydration bladder is a flexible, two-kilogram volume, pressed against the back or plate carrier. Every time it leans against a wall, every time it's in a vehicle, every time it falls to the ground, it takes the direct impact. A puncture means a lost reservoir and a soaked back.

The internal loop

It allows you to suspend the hydration bladder from the top. When suspended, it maintains its shape and empties regularly; when placed at the bottom, it collapses and forms an air pocket that cuts off aspiration.

The Velcro flap

Velcro closure at the top: immediate access for quick refilling or to remove the bladder, without opening a full-length zipper.

Two liters or three

The 3L version of the same pouch carrier measures 40 x 20 x 2.5 cm and weighs 260 g empty, for €42.90. One liter of water is an extra kilo to carry: take the capacity you need, not the largest.
