Clawgear Czech Republic Flag Patch
This flag features a diagonal. A blue corner extends in a triangle from the hoist to the center – and the diagonal is the most challenging line to render cleanly on fabric.
Why a diagonal is problematic
Weaving follows an orthogonal grid: threads cross at right angles. Any oblique line must therefore be approximated by a staircase of stitches. The finer the resolution, the smaller the steps, and the straighter the diagonal appears.
This is precisely where the process for this series stands out: embroidery, which uses much thicker threads, leaves a visibly jagged diagonal.
The trickiest point
The tip of the triangle, in the center of the flag, is where three colors meet at a single point. A blunt or misaligned tip is immediately noticeable there.
Three versions
Multicolor for the actual colors, Desert and RAL7013 for two monochrome treatments that maintain the geometry without creating contrast on the uniform.
Velcro does not damage underlayers
The hook on this series only adheres to female Velcro surfaces and does not damage knitted mesh or sewing threads.
