What the fleece brings

A single knit allows air to pass through. The fleece lining creates an insulating layer against the skin, and that's what makes the difference for the ears - the part of the body that gets cold first and warms up last.

This is not the beanie for wearing under a helmet

For wearing under a helmet, the Beanie LW is what you need: flat seams, a snug fit, reduced bulk. This one has the thickness of its lining and the relief of its knitted logo - two things a helmet turns into pressure points.
