Clawgear Breacher Hood

A hood that can be attached and detached. It fastens with velcro strips to the combat shirt: present when the mission requires it, removed the rest of the time.

What it stops

Dust, debris, and cold - in that order. This is a work hood, not a comfort hood: its primary function is to prevent flying objects from reaching the back of the neck, neck, and collar.

When opening a door, working on the ground, or moving in an open vehicle, this is exactly what distinguishes a protected neck from a neck full of debris.

The elastic cord with stopper

The tightening can be adjusted with one hand, using an elastic cord with a stopper. Tighten to close around the face, release to clear the field of vision - no knots to undo or adjustments to reset.

Elasticity matters: an inelastic cord loosens with the first head movement, an elastic cord follows and returns to position.

Compatibility

It is designed to attach to the MK.III Combat Shirt. The Raider Mk.IV Field Shirt is also designed to accommodate it, and is announced as an option on its own product page.

Check for the presence of velcro strips on the collar of your shirt before ordering: without them, the hood has no attachment point.

Colors

Five colors: Black, Flecktarn, Multicam, RAL7013, and Solid Rock. The price varies depending on the chosen color.
