Clawgear
Clawgear B Neg Bloodgroup Patch
A single source of information is a fragile source. A patch can peel off, get dirty, or end up under a strap at the wrong moment - which is why it should never be the only place where information is displayed.
The principle of redundancy
The patch is immediately readable, without manipulation: that's its strength. But it benefits from being duplicated by what you already carry - card, dog tag, document in the chest pocket. If one disappears, the other remains.
The downside is a requirement: all must say the same thing. Two contradictory medical pieces of information about the same person are worth less than nothing.
A patch not intended for you
It exists to be read by a third party when you can no longer respond, and only fulfills its function if it is visible from the outside. A patch remains an indication carried on equipment, not a medical document: it does not exempt from any formal verification.

Legibility comes from the weave
For two characters, no margin of error: high-resolution weaving maintains a clear design where embroidery thickens lines and dulls the sign.
