Clawgear Aviceda Mk.II Fleece Jacket

The mid-layer fleece, the one you wear all day. The Aviceda Mk.II is lightweight: warm enough to count, thin enough to wear under a jacket without being cumbersome.

Weight

Lighter weight fleece, lightly insulating. This is not a winter fleece: it's the one you wear alone in mid-season and layer the rest of the time without turning the whole outfit into a cocoon.

Collar

Lined with microfleece inside. This is the area where the fabric constantly rubs the back of the neck, and where an ordinary fleece irritates after a few hours. Behind the Vislon zipper, an extended chin guard flap blocks the air.

Earbud detail

The internal pocket has a cable pass-through: a wire from an earbud or headphone exits through the top without being caught by the zipper. A minor detail until you wear a radio.

Five pockets

• 2 zippered handwarmer pockets, with welded fabric trim
• 2 welded, zippered arm pockets, with large velcro surface for rank insignia
• 1 zippered internal pocket with cable pass-through

Finishes

Well-fitting elastic cuffs, and a hem adjustment cord housed in the pocket: no cord loops hanging outside.
