Clawgear Audax Softshell Hoody

An outer layer that doesn't force you to choose between protection and breathability. The Audax Softshell Hoody is designed for days when the weather is uncertain: it blocks the wind, repels light rain, and releases heat as soon as your pace picks up.

A two-layer softshell construction

The exterior is an abrasion-resistant ripstop nylon, lined internally with fleece. This combination partially blocks the wind while remaining breathable, and the water-repellent treatment makes rain bead on the surface instead of soaking in. It's an outer jacket, designed to be worn over other layers.

Designed for movement

The fabric is four-way stretch. The armpit gussets are seamless and the sleeves are slightly pre-shaped: raising your arms, shouldering a rifle, or getting into position won't cause any pulling. When the effort increases, two double-slider ventilation zippers open under the arms.

The hood adjusts at two points, with hidden internal drawstrings. The hem can be tightened from the pockets: nothing hangs on the outside to snag.

The detail that matters

The front closure is a Vislon zipper, lined internally with a windproof fleece flap that extends into a chin guard at the collar. This makes all the difference after two hours of facing headwind.
