O positive is the most common blood type in the world. This is also why it must be written down: the most probable is not the certain, and a first responder cannot guess.

A patch not intended for you

It exists to be read by a third party when you can no longer respond. It only fulfills its function if it is visible from the outside, accurate, and consistent with the rest of your medical information.

A patch remains an indication on equipment, not a medical document: it does not exempt from any formal verification.
