Blue Force Gear Vickers M249 SAW Sling

A belt-fed weapon sling, designed for the smaller ones. Its pad is shorter than that of the M240 sling, making it intended for the MK46 and M249 SAW.

Vickers quick adjustment

You can lengthen or shorten the sling in one motion, without removing the weapon from your shoulder. This is the mechanism that made the Vickers Combat Applications Sling famous, used here as is.

The pad

Tubular webbing 2.75 inches wide by 18 inches long - 2 inches by 18 in Multicam. Its width ensures that a padded surface carries the load even if the sling flips during use, which happens.

Two points, not three

It is a 2-point sling, a deliberate choice: it eliminates the risk of interfering with the feed that a 3-point configuration presents on a belt-fed weapon.

Heat resistance

The front part, on the adjustment side, is made of Nomex with metal hardware. This is the part that may touch a hot barrel, and it is made not to fail upon contact.

Attachment

Triglides at both ends: to be threaded through the weapon's sling swivels, or combined with Universal Wire Loops, HK or MASH hooks, sold separately.
