Where the weight is saved

The back is made of ULTRAcomp laminate that runs underneath the pouch and up the front—exactly where the friction occurs. The rest is 500D Cordura, not 1000D.

The patented Helium Whisper attachment system is built from the same laminate, which is advertised as up to 60% lighter than 1000D Cordura with equal or greater durability.

One or two magazines

It holds one or two M4 magazines, polymer or metal, secured by an external elastic that holds them silently.

The detail that counts in bad weather

A nitrile bead is sewn into the flap—the BLIP system. It grips your fingers even with gloves, wet hands, or in the dark, where a simple tab would slip. And it weighs less than a tab.
