Why a short RECCE brim?

Unlike the classic wide-brimmed boonie that catches the wind and obstructs peripheral vision, the short RECCE brim (a legacy of reconnaissance units) protects from the sun without hindering aiming, line of sight, or the wearing of optics and binoculars. This is the preferred format for hunters, hikers, and airsoft players who move through dense terrain.

A technical fabric, not cotton canvas

Cut from a 6.8oz NYCO+ ripstop (55% cotton, 42% nylon, 3% elastane): the natural feel of cotton, the tear resistance of nylon, and just the right amount of stretch. 70D nylon lining, internal micro-suede sweatband.
