The Ambush is an assault pack designed for several hours of use: enough to carry water, rations, a warm layer, and useful equipment, without the bulk of a bivouac bag. The top pocket is velvet-lined and securely holds optics or a night vision device without risk of scratching. The beavertail flap can hold a helmet or camouflage net, then rolls up into its flat compartment when no longer needed. The two side pockets can hold a water bottle or magazines, and an internal compartment accommodates a hydration bladder. It is part of the Guardian modular system, allowing it to evolve with the rest of the equipment.
