TR2 mask filter cartridge
- Pack of 3 P2-02 filters in packaging
- Compatible with TR2 (CE certified) and TR2 (Gen1) masks.
- CE standard EN143:2021 Class P2
THE FILTER (P2-02) OFFERS FILTRATION IMPROVEMENTS COMPARED TO THE TR2 (GEN1)
APPROVED FOR USE AGAINST OIL-BASED CONTAMINANTS
- The CE-certified P2-02 filter is effective and approved for use against solid (non-oily) and oil-based particles, in accordance with the requirements of EN143:2021. The TR2 (Gen1) filter was developed to treat solid (non-oily) particles.
15% INCREASE IN BREATHABILITY
- The P2-02 filter offers approximately 15% improved inhalation resistance (lower) compared to the original TR2 filter. The original TR2 filter has an average inhalation resistance of 1.65 hPa (16.8 mmH2O) at 85 LPM, while the P2-02 has an average inhalation resistance of 1.4 hPa (14.3 mmH2O) at 95 LPM.
IMPROVED FILTRATION OF SOLID PARTICLES > 99
- The CE-certified P2-02 filter offers improved filtration efficiency compared to the TR2 (Gen1) filter.
- Filtration efficiency tests ≥99% for the sodium chloride filtration challenge.
The TR2 (Gen1) filter achieves an efficiency of 97% against solid (non-oily) particles.
The CE-certified P2-02 filter features a new bonding and pleat design and exhibits ≥99% filtration efficiency in the sodium chloride filtration challenge for single- or multi-shift use. The P2-02 also demonstrates >97% efficiency in the paraffin oil test and >95% efficiency in a repeat test 24 hours after the initial oil penetration challenge. Due to its high performance levels in these challenges, the P2-02 is certified for multi-shift use (i.e., it is not limited to single-shift applications like some other products on the market).
The EN143:2021 standard includes three classifications that describe the minimum filtration efficiencies required.
- P1 is >80%
- P2 is >94%
- P3 is >99.95%.
Based on these thresholds, the P2-02 was assigned the P2 classification despite a performance well above the minimum requirement of 94%.
