Schrade Collection - Knives and Axes
The history of Schrade begins in 1904, when brothers Louis, William and George Schrade founded the Schrade Cutlery Company in Walden, New York. A second factory opened in Middletown in 1918.
After several changes in ownership, the brand was acquired in 2004 by Taylor Brands, which also owns Old Timer and Uncle Henry. Production has since been based in Asia, allowing Schrade to offer sturdy knives at an affordable price.
The collection consists mainly of fixed-blade knives: the Extreme Survival for bushcraft, the Bedrock series, the Outback chopper, and the small Reckon Tini and Spare Change for everyday carry.
It also includes folding knives such as the Kinetic and Roadie, axes, including the Bedrock Camp Axe and the SCAXE10 hatchet, and multi-tools.
