ESS

ESS Collection - Ballistic Glasses and Masks

Eye Safety Systems, better known as ESS, was founded in 1998 in Idaho by John Dondero, an engineer who had worked in protective masks for twenty years. His first products protected the eyes of wildland firefighters from heat.

Military masks arrived in 1999, then in 2002 came the first ballistic glasses with interchangeable lenses. ESS became one of the leading suppliers of protective eyewear to the armed forces, and today it is a subsidiary of Oakley.

The collection brings together glasses (CDI, Crossblade, Credence, Crossbow), masks such as the Profile NVG and Striker XT, and above all, around fifty replacement lenses. You keep the frame and change the lens depending on the light: clear, smoke, mirrored, photochromic, or polarized.

For those who wear prescription glasses, ESS offers prescription inserts that fit behind the lens. Cases and covers complete the range.
