Cold Steel

Cold Steel Collection - Knives and Tools

Cold Steel was founded in 1980 in Ventura, California, by martial arts enthusiast Lynn Thompson. Legend has it that he started his brand after breaking two knives from his competitors.

The brand popularized the American-style tanto blade in the West and developed the Tri-Ad locking mechanism, renowned for its strength. It has been owned by the GSM Outdoors group since 2020 and is headquartered in Texas.

The collection features folding knives: the Air Lite, 1911, Grik, Kiridashi, Pocket Bushman, and Double Agent. As for fixed blades, you'll find the OSS, Leatherneck Tanto, Kobun, and Tanto Spike.

Cold Steel also offers field tools, such as the Special Forces shovel, which can also be used for cutting, and the 18-inch Latin D-Guard machete for clearing a path.
